Hi,

just bought a TwinHam VisionPlus Card (3020). Installed it in my Mac G4 1,4Ghz, 768MB Ram, GForce 4MX 32MB running OS 10.4.2 using an active 18DB Antenna

Itele seems to find all stations (Berlin Germany). The Programs only can be displayed correctly using MPlayer. When switching to Internal Display the only choice thats resulting in picture and sound is "Multitexture". But the displayed program is something "discoloured", something red/green overloaded. The display of the program is also very choppy during itele is loading the epg information of the channels.

Any ideas about that?

Greetings

Ingo

try using a passive antenna, as described here:

While in general a good idea, the passive antenna won't improve your internal display because your old GeForce MX (2 and 4) has only got two texture stages. The internal display requires a card with 3 or more texture stages even for multipass mode. You are seeing the results after two.

As for the choppiness at the start, yes that happens. It takes a while for the stream to get in sync. Turning off the EPG won't make a difference (well, shouldn't anyway!). I'm guessing you were just saying that to indicate the time when it gets choppy 'tho.

Hi,

thanks for your answers. I´ll give the passive antenna a try although the active seems to work quite well. I also thought that the internal display problems is due to my graphics card.

What about opening a german forum on this site? Are there much german users aroung here?

Sorry this is a bit late. You can use any card with 3 or more MAX_TEXTURE_UNITS as shown in this table: http://homepage.mac.com/arekkusu/bugs/GLInfo.html

As for the German forums.... Jan, isn't there something like this on your site already?

To make the confusion complete:
My nick name at http://www.macmediacenter.de/ is not Jan but Jan2. It's not my site. It's another Jan's whose nick here is completely different.

macmediacenter.de doesn't have an iTele forum at the moment. Just support for TV2iCal (the scripts integrating TV-Browser with iCal and iCal with iTele).
